State Worksheet Instructions

The State Worksheet is designed to capture state-specific information and recent tax law changes that may affect your tax return. Completing this worksheet helps ensure that your state tax return is prepared accurately and that all applicable deductions, credits, and filing requirements are properly addressed.

 

Please follow the instructions below:

 

Complete a State Worksheet for your resident state.

    • If you lived in only one state during the tax year, complete the worksheet for that state.

If you lived in more than one state during the year, complete a separate State Worksheet for each state in which you resided.

    • Be sure to indicate the dates you lived in each state.
    • Include any state-specific income, withholding, or tax payments associated with each state.

Review the worksheet carefully before submitting it.

      • Answer all applicable questions.
      • Provide complete and accurate information to avoid delays in processing your return.

      Submit the completed State Worksheet with your tax documents.

        • The State Worksheet is a required component of your tax filing package and must be submitted along with:
          • Your completed Clergy Tax Organizer
          • Copies of all relevant tax forms (W-2s, 1099s, K-1s, etc.)
          • Any supporting documentation related to deductions, credits, or state-specific tax items

      Important

      The State Worksheet is required for all clients filing a state tax return. Failure to provide the worksheet may delay the preparation of your return or require additional follow-up to obtain missing information.
