Dan Dorsey AFSP
Thank you for choosing Clergy Financial Resources to prepare your tax return. We sincerely appreciate your trust and the opportunity to serve you.
I’m originally from Columbus, OH, and have lived in State College, PA for the last 23 years. After a brief stint in campus ministry and attending seminary, I’ve served the bulk of my career as an executive pastor. While my new role with CFR represents a career change, it also falls in line with my passion for taxes. In addition to preparing hundreds of returns for fellow pastors, friends, and family over the last 30 years, I’ve also served with the VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance) program for the last 10 years (currently as a site coordinator).
I’m a member of the National Association of Tax Professionals and registered with the Internal Revenue Service.
I have also completed The Annual Filing Season Program (AFSP) which aims to recognize the efforts of tax return preparers who aspire to a higher level of professionalism. This requires 18 hours of continuing education, including a six-hour federal tax law refresher course with a test.
My wife, Christina, and I have 3 far-flung (two in Phoenix and one in Suzhou, China) adult children and 3 grandchildren. After spending zoom time with my family, my favorite hobbies are cycling, reading, and college football. I’m looking forward to getting to know and working alongside the CFR staff!

Schedule your Tax Review
Let’s get started!
Now is the time to schedule your tax review. This tax review step is designed to clarify and review the entire organizer and other tax-related information together. During this review, we’ll be looking back one year for consistency, identifying possible tax-saving opportunities in the current year, and looking forward to one year to determine adjustments for estimated payments or optional withholdings. This step will get your return to the 90% status before it moves to the final review. After the final review, your return will be ready to e-file.
Click the link below to schedule your 2022 tax review. This review is scheduled for a maximum of 1 hour and will vary based on the complexity of your return.
